The Rock Flower Anemone, also known as the Rock Anemone and Sea Anemone, is a member of the Phymanthidae family. Originating from the Caribbean, these anemones are found in a wide array of colors, with the oral disc often being a different color than the rest of the anemone. The oral disc lacks tentacles, and the tentacles are often beaded in appearance. The Rock Flower Anemone can live singly or in groups. They prefer to live on shaded, vertical rock walls, or within the substrate. They will bury most of their body in the sand, with only the oral disc and tentacles showing. These are fairly hardy anemones that will adapt to a wide variety of lighting conditions. These anemones tend not to wander about the aquarium and are a great addition to a reef aquarium. These anemones come in all kinds of amazing colors. Like most anemones their sting can cause a sever reaction in humans, so please wear gloves when handling them.
Reef tank rock flower anemone care. We keep them in low to moderate lighting and moderate flow.
The Rock Flower Anemone is a carnivore, and requires meaty foods to survive. Offer the anemone mussels and freshly chopped fish meat, as well as high quality frozen foods. Adding iodine and trace elements to the aquarium will help the Flower Anemone thrive.
Samples are pictured. Due to color and size variations within species, your item may not look identical to the images provided. Anemones are all around 1"+/- when fully settled and open.

Our pictures are taken under the Zetlight ZP3600 LED. We try to post two pictures of each coral to give you a better idea to how it may look in your tank. We take one picture with all the leds at full power and one picture with just the blue and violet leds at full power. We can't guarantee an exact color match. So many factors, monitor settings, your eyes, and types of lighting affect color, so it is impossible for us to guarantee an exact color match. Our pictures are shot to represent the items as they appear to us in our photo tank. Please see our Lighting example here.
If you want to add to or pickup your order please put a note with the order or email us at Support@SaltCritters.com so we can refund any extra shipping charges. (Add on orders do not count towards any free shipping offers)
