Anemones
Live sea anemones are sessile with a specialized foot used to anchor them in soft substrates or attach themselves to rocks and corals. They are fascinating creatures to watch and are a great addition to an established Reef Aquarium. Most anemones are fairly hardy and easy to care for, but some can be quite difficult to keep. Care must be taken when handling live sea anemones as some pack a powerful painful sting. Some sea anemones are natural habitats for clownfish, such as the popular bubble tip anemones and a few others that will host these colorful ocean fish. After buying anemones for clownfish, do know that anemones need to be fed bits of fresh uncooked fish, shrimp or other meaty foods at least once a week.
