Zoanthid corals are easy to maintain making them a great choice for beginner reef aquarists. Zoanthids require moderate light levels and medium water movement in the home reef aquarium. To help with excellent growth and health the will require the addition of iodine and other trace elements.
Under ideal conditions zoanthid polyps will multiply without difficulty by budding to increase the size of the colony. Zoanthid polyps contain symbiotic algae zooxanthellae which satisfies almost all of its nutritional requirements. If the lighting is not optimal zoanthids polyps should be fed micro-plankton or baby brine shrimp.
