Leptastrea Coral
Leptastrea corals are a popular coral to the reef aquarist. They can thrive under moderate lighting, and medium water flow and come in many different color variations as well. The symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae hosted within the Leptastrea coral supply most of their nutritional requirements through photosynthesis but they do benefit from supplemental feedings of Coral food, mysis shrimp, or finely chopped meaty foods.
