Goniopora Coral, also known as the "Flower-Pot" corals, are a favorite to most reef hobbyist. They're an amazing flowing large polyp stony coral (LPS) that come in a wide variety of colors. They are closely related to the Alveopora coral. One way to tell them apart is by the number of tentacles. Gonipora have 24 tentacles and Aleveopora only have 12 tentacles. Gonipora do well in a wide variety of lighting conditions and prefer medium indirect water flow. They will greatly benefit from regular feedings of powdered coral food. If you like a coral that moves in the current then a Gonipora is for you.
