The Pavona Coral, also known as Cactus Coral, is one of the most beginner friendly SPS corals to keep.  Actually it's one of the most beginner friendly reef aquarium corals in general.  The Pavona corals are less sensitive to fluctuations in water quality and are generally less demanding than other SPS corals.  They tend to do best in medium light and medium flow.  They are a fast growing encrusting coral.
