Please note, that when mushroom corals are shipped, it is perfectly normal for them to be deflated and very small upon arrival. Once adjusted to your aquarium conditions, however, they will fully open. The acclimation process normally takes several days to a week.

    The Ricordea Florida Mushroom Coral is a very colorful coral that adds that needed pop the the reef aquarium.  They are easy to care for and grow fairly quickly.

    With all of the amazing colors Ricordea Florida are guaranteed to attract attention to your reef tank.  Ricordea Florida Mushrooms come in serveral color valiations including green, orange, yellow, blue, purple, and sometimes reds and pinks.  They are usually bright or even sometimes fluorescent in intensities.  Due to the brilliant variety of colors the Ricordea Florida mushrooms are some of the most sought after mushrooms around.  They can sometimes fetch a very large price if the color is intense and rare enough.

    The Ricordea Florida Mushroom can tolerate a wide range of conditions making it a great coral for beginners.  The ideal conditions for Ricordea Florida are low to med light and low to med water flow.  They are carnivorous and photosynthetic.  You can feed them planktons and brine shrimp to help with growth and color.

  • Ricordea Yuma Mushroom

    The Ricordea Yuma mushroom is a member of the order Corallimorpharia (Stephenson, 1937), and has short, club, or berry-shaped tentacles. It shares some similarities to stony corals, and is also termed a Disc Anemone. It is found in a variety of color forms.

    The ricordea Yuma Mushroom requires low to medium light and low water movement within the reef aquarium.  It is considered a semi aggressive coral and requires adequate space between itself and other corals. 

    The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within it provide the majority of its nutritional requirements from the light driven process of photosynthesis. It also eats plankton and smaller meaty foods.
